Sightseeing tours
Throughout the conference, a number of half – day city tours will be organised to enable delegates and accompanying persons to explore the city of Zagreb.
Walking through the City of Zagreb
Date: 8 - 10 May, 2008
Duration of the tour: ca 1,5 hours
Departure: Hotel Westin Zagreb / main entrance
You will get to know the thousand-year old Gornji grad (upper town) which contains the Presidential Palace, the historic church of St. Mark's, a symbol of Zagreb, the Croatian parliament. Walk through the old cobbled streets will take you to the best view of Zagreb from under the Lotrščak Tower, and to the Stone Gate where you light a candle. On the way back, visit Kaptol with Dolac open market and the Cathedral. The journey through Zagreb's heritage and tradition will be enriched by the unique taste of pepper biscuits and visit one of the upper town cafes.

This tour will give you an overall impression of the city of Zagreb.Only in Zagreb the noon is announced by the
cannon firing from the Lotrščak Tower and city parks are arranged in the form of a horse shoe.Zagreb has Maksimir, the oldest public cultivated park in Europe and Archaeological Museum is proud to present the mummy with the longest Etruscan epitaph...During this tour you will enjoy coffee break in the bidermeier interior of an old café.
